The playground within the Arthur Nicholson Recreation Ground fell into disrepair over the last few years.

One of the main aims of the new Council when they were elected in May 2023 was to refurbish the play park and this has now been completed.

Working hand-in-hand with the Council in their bid to refurbish the play park, the Friends of Bidborough Play Park group have been fundraising vigorously over the last two years and raised almost £70,000 towards the refurbishment. Whilst costs for the current install have been met there are a few items still to purchase in the form of an extra planter, a shade sail, signage and safety padding to the fencing, so donations are still being gratefully received.  

The Friends of Bidborough are now a registered charity which means that, if you are a tax payer, your donation can be gift aided.

The Friends of Bidborough Play Park is run by Katie Haylock and Sarah Carrick and the Council would like to give their heartfelt thanks to these two amazing ladies and for all they have done and are still doing for our community.
